Born and raised in New York City’s East Village, Michael P. Delaney—known as dub-L—is a filmmaker, record producer and recording artist. His screen work reaches back to The Baby Show, the late-1990s New York public-access comedy show. Its mix of sketches, improvisation and comic voice-overs brought together a circle of musicians and performers that included Blockhead, Aesop Rock and Adrian Grenier.

That public-access background carried into BABY SHOW — Episode One, which Delaney directed and co-wrote, earning festival recognition for its comedy and editing. His later short SOCial MEDia MADness turns its attention to the pursuit of online popularity and earned him Best Original Score at the 2019 Diamond Film Awards. Alongside his films, dub-L’s original music videos connect his work in sound and moving images.

His television soundtrack credits include MTV Cribs, The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Dogs 101, among others.
